This is something that I have thought of for a while, and I think the only way to stop thinking about it is to ask my readers. Why do many of us continue to blog? Is it the thought of possibly making big bucks? Is it the thought of having authority online? Is it a way for you to get your inner emotions out? Needless to say, everyone blogs for their own reason, whether they want to make mony, become famous, relieve their emotions, and what not. I will briefly discuss why I blog, then I’ll let you guys tell me what you think, and also explain why YOU blog.
It’s fun
I’ve started to find that blogging is actually fun. When I blogged before (around the age of 15), I only had ONE thing on my mind — money. I basically grabbed a bunch of content from Google, slapped it onto my site, placed some Google Adsense ads, and thought I was going to become rich. Young and dumb as they say. Now, the money is not even what is attracting me to the art. Maybe I grew more intelligent with age (okay, I admit it, I did), but I actually find blogging fun now. When I’m bored, I blog — simple as that. It’s fun in the sense that it is like an online interactive community. You meet people, you comment on their blog, they comment on yours, and so on.
I’m bored
Once again, I’m bored. I don’t mean to bicker and complain, but moving really sucks. High school was just getting fun in 2008, until I was presented with the horrendous news that I would be moving. I tried everything to get out of it — I asked to stay in Canada with my cousins, and so on. I felt like a kid begging their parents to buy something from the local Walmart — helpless. Obviously, I failed, as I am now in California. I bet you might be wondering, why would you not want to leave Canada for California. First of all, Canada, like the USA, does have states (but we call them provinces). Not every part of Canada is farms, igloos, and so on. Actually, I don’t even think we have igloos there — I didn’t see one for 14 years. Point is, you have to live somewhere to understand — I personally preferred the social setting in Canada a lot more. Children were a lot more friendly. Anyways, I feel like I’m rambling off, and I don’t want to upset my fellow Americans, because I do like you all too. I just favor where I grew up a bit. So now, with a lot less to do here in California, I try to pass the time until college by blogging.
It’s the money
Okay, I’m not going to lie any longer. The idea of the money is attractive. I used to write articles for webmasters at $5 per 500 words. I’m a fast typer (yes, within the 110WPM to 120WPM range) so it was pretty easy money for me. It grew very boring after a while. Even though it was good money, I got sick of writing for others. Blogging is like a long term investment (even though I’m sure some will disagree). With continious work and dedication, money will come. I have always grew up in a household that has been mediocore (speaking from a financial perspective). We are not rich, nor are we poor. Sometimes it is hard to get by, but I can’t complain, as many others are also struggling. I blog in hopes that I can make money, and no, not money to spend on myself only.
I want to make enough money to the point that I can help my parents retire sooner. Sure, many may laugh at that and say “Does this 17 year old kid really think he is going to get rich off of blogging?”, and to those of you who say that, your entitled to your own opinion. I seem to see things a lot different than other teenagers do. I’ve never really seen many teenagers pay attention to how hard their parents work, and feel guilty. I, on the other hand, seem to always feel guilty when I see my parents stressed from work.
So, my goal — make my parents happy by allowing them to retire early. Luckily, I’ve started young — something not many people do. I feel that since I have started younger, my chances at suceeeding are much better.
Shortly said, these are the reasons that keep me blogging. What keeps you blogging?
Ex Boyfriend To Get Back Read 5 Simple Tips
It is not easy for you and your ex boyfriend back after a break. However, there are a few tips you can follow him back. So many people are unable to win their ex back. It is not really our fault. You need to get rid of negative thoughts. You must stop feeling sorry for yourself. You must be prepared to be strong.
Do not let your emotions and especially the depression keep you down. You can not reach a goal, if you can not keep your emotions in the box and your mind clear. Negative thoughts are destructive behavior.
Accept that the relationship in its original form is about 2. L ‘. All interested in the world is not going to allow you back in time and change things in a way that is arrived. You can not let your mind keep wandering in the past.
Focus on what is happening now. If you realize that the relationship between the past is not perfect you are in the right direction and lays the foundation for you and your ex boyfriend back. Remember, you are more likely to hide the bad stuff has happened. Think about this, the relationship did not get broken in a day. Do not expect to solve the problem in one day or another.
3. Is not pester your ex boyfriend. Guys is not like it when girls are obsessed about them. In particular former friends. Would you want to seek comfort in hearing his voice or see his face, but if you really want him back, you must save for a while. Not to, text message him, his email or go to his place or where it hangs just to see him call all the time. Give him time to realize he may have made a mistake. It can start to really miss you. If you jump, you might be a tougher time to recover.
Become an object of desire 4. If you can get some new makeup. Get some new clothes. Get a new hairdo. If you’ve picked a few pounds, start exercising and eating healthy. When you are confident and happy, you will project this image to others. You will become an object of desire for men. This includes your ex-boyfriend.
5. I take slow. If you follow steps 1 through 4 your ex boyfriend at a given time is likely to contact you. Imagine his surprise when he sees the “new” you to step 4. It will probably be sorry that you had disintegrated. Keep your physical contact with him at least, if you see him.
You see your best to research and see that you become happy and confident you will want him. If you limit your physical contact with him, is he crazy engines. It probably will help to ensure that you not only get into a relationship only to break a short time later.
This advice is not easy to do first. You can call and give him or see him, but you should resist the temptation. These tips will help you and your ex boyfriend back after a break.

It’s interesting to learn about you. I am also a young blogger (started at 13 and am now 14).
Man 120WPM. That’s ridiculous! How did you get that fast? I can only type 80WPM at the most, and I average 60 to 70.
What keeps me blogging is knowing that I am helping people, improving my writing, making friends, and making money.
I blog for different reasons, as we have several blogs on different subjects. We have a community blog for where I live and that is just to keep people in our town updated on what is going on in the community. I started that solely as I wanted to help the community. Over the years, we have spent SO MUCH time updating it and responding to local residents that we are trying to make money with it now. We have some fun sites that are just for pure entertainment, and if they make any money that is a bonus. Then are newest blog is about Making Money Online and our goal is to hopefully make money while teaching others to do the same.
Doug,
Good to see that you have many blogs. I, for one, can only handle one at the moment. I’d consider a second one possibly, but only after my first is well under way!
I like your mentality. It seems like money is always the last thing on your mind, and these are the type of people that will usually make the most money. The key is to deliver good content to your visitors first, and once you have a substantial amount of visitors, you can monetize. I shouldn’t be telling you this — you already know all this, haha!
By the way, I’d love to see your community blog. Is it “www.makingmoneyonline”, or is that another blog of yours? If that is not it, please provide me the link, as I’d be glad to see it
Well, originally I started off as a Webmaster and blogging was one way I used to get my PR up as I heard that Google liked constant changing data and the website was pretty static. Then I found that I could make money via the blogging train so I concentrated on that a little.
Now I don’t really care about PR at all as I think it’s pretty useless and I blog for the fun of it. To me it’s a form of relaxation, a way to unwind and forget about all the pressure out in the real world.
BTW, you should seriously consider installing a subscribe to comment plugin
Too late, I’ve already replied
As for PR, the only ones that really care are bloggers, webmasters and advertisers. The casual surfer probably doesn’t know it even exists.
And that is exactly the point. Webmaster’s bloggers and advertisers aren’t going to click on your links. It’s the casual surfer that does that, and if they don’t know that PR exists it makes you wonder why people place such an emphasis on it.
My blogging experience is all about fun. I find something to blog about and i have fun doing it. The most important part is the engagement with my readers. Sure i’ve tried before to monetize but i suck big time at it. So for me i’d have to say fun (and maybe a flavor of online authority).
Paid writing is good way to earn money…But it will be boring after writing some 100′s.
I started on blogger.com and i don’t the visitors & money at that time..Just created a blog to keep my photo and to show my friends that i have a site.
I don’t know what is blog and what is website even…then in the long run learned all the tips and tricks and making some fun and money now
I blog for a mixture of business and pleasure. I have three blogs; one for business, one for pleasure, and one for, hopefully, one day, making money. But I’ve been blogging for 5 years now, and have no plans on stopping any time soon.
TechZoomIn,
I agree with you. Paid writing can become very, very boring after a while.
I also started on blogger – saw no money and barely any visitors. I had barely experience or knowledge at the time, but I slowly learned — just like you.
Btw, I love your blog! I’ll be visiting regularly
Hi The Gooroo,
This is such an interesting post. You got me there, I blog for my enthusiasm. And it is seconded by money.
interesting post… gives me something to think about.
I’m blogging because :
1) Try to earn money with it. I’m in way to build blog for earning money from affiliate program.
2) To socialize. With blog i hope i can build good community and also get new friend.
3) My main purpose –> to write memorable thing in my life and i hope when i die, my blog can be published in the conventional book and inspire many people who read it
To be honest, it depends. I’m running several blogs and most of them is just to make money. Besides them I’m writing because it’s my passion to share my knowledge. It may sound strange, but I’ve always wanted to be a teacher since I was a kid.
I blog not only to just blog. My dream is to start an internet business one day. I guess i will blog my way up to my dream… never tried paid writing…
Nice Post
Keep up the good work!
Cheers
Sandeep
Jake,
I’m very impressed. I admire the fact that you’re starting at such a young age. Trust me, if you keep it up, you WILL make it far. When I was 14, I was still a bit immature. 15 is when I started to get into the blogging world.
Yeah, I use MSN a lot, chatting with friends. I started using it in grade 6 (right around when most kids in my school did). I guess it just came with practice.
Good reasons to blog. You will see a big difference in your writing skill throughout high school, due to the fact that you blog. At your age is when you start to form a writing style — the fact that you blog will give you a very good advantage. And ah, making money — of course. A reason that most of us blog!
The community blog is http://www.miramesa.com. Let me know if you having thoughts or ideas for it
Yeah, completely true (as for Google liking constant changing data). I, like many others, used to ask myself “why do people blog?”
I then realized that you can make money from blogging — question answered.
As for PR, I agree with you. I’ve read on a lot of forums that PR is really not that all important. Sure, it may look good if you have a PR5 or PR6 site, but it really is not all that important.
Thanks for the suggestion. I emailed you, but I already figured out — disregard my email
It looks great Doug. I love the layout — very clean and attractive. Looks like it gets updated quite regularly as well. No suggestions on my part. I’ll bookmark it and check it out regularly
Haha! Just too fast for me Sire.
That’s actually true…Glad you mention that. I didn’t even know what PR was until I started blogging
Interesting! No worries — some people don’t care about the money, and there is no problem with that. Then again, you can always concentrate on engaging with your readers, and later worry about monetizing. I’ve always felt that you must first build a relationship with your readers/viewers before you see any money.
Yeah, that really makes sense. Webmaster’s, bloggers, and advertisers are busy working on their own websites/blogs, etc.. Obviously some still read other blogs, but the majority of your traffic is going to be coming from the average surfer. You’re completely right.
Mitch, great to see such a mixture. 5 years, wow — impressive. You must know a lot. The money will come, I assure you. I don’t know you personally, but I can already tell you are a dedicated man. You will see the big bucks soon, rest assured!
Good to see Vic. Enthusiasm is a big factor in the blogging world. With such enthusiasm, money will come.
Thanks Jason. Sure does — I hope this gave everyone a chance to think about why it is exactly that they blog.
Akira,
Some great reasons you’ve mentioned. I’ve never heard of anyone say the 3rd one. Definitely an interesting one. I wish you luck with your blog!
Stefan,
Good to see you have a passion for writing. That is something many bloggers seem to lack. They join, and are only doing it for the money. I feel that blogging requires one to have passion for writing. I also wish you luck on your dream of becoming a teacher — you can do it.
Good purpose, right
?
Do you want to be like that also? Can inspire people and motivate them is great dream, right?
Well, maybe my journey and dream still too far, but i’ll always effort and try. Support me with your pray
I want to do the exact same. I will support you all the way Akira! With a mind set like yours, you can make it very far. Keep up the good work. I’ll be visiting your blog very soon.
Without passion, blog will be bad. Also with “money-making purpose” blog, if the content is just copy paste, i’m sure the blog will earn you not/only a bit of money.
It’s so rare now, people make blog purely without having a desire to get money from it. And this is good…!!! Pure blog is always more better.
I agree. I’ve seen many try the copy paste method for their blog, and it made them very, very little money, or none at all.
You’re right. The money will always come later
Sandeep,
Your dream is quite within reach. I read your blog regularly and you’re a talented individual. You can achieve your dream.
