As Doug Dillard won the iBlogPlanet Comment Marathon Contest for the month of August, I owe him a post! Well, let me rephrase that. It is with my utmost pleasure to write a post about Dougs blog. Although this was a prize for the contest, I would have probably wrote this post sooner or later, even if he had not won the contest. Why? Because I have not seen a blog come so far, in such a short amount of time.
MakingMoneyOnline has been around for a few months now, but when first looking at it, I thought this blog had to be a quite a few years old. There was so much interaction in the comments section, that I would have never guessed this was a blog that was only a few months old. Doug Dillard has proven to me (and many others) that if you are dedicated online, you can achieve things in quite a short amount of time. No, that’s where the problem comes in for many — dedication. I don’t see many bloggers who put in as much effort as Doug does into MakingMoneyOnline, from the frequent, well thought out posts, to the appealing blog itself.
The first time I talked to Doug was after he commented on my blog, I believe. Ever since then, he has helped me on numerous occassions, and I know he does the same for everyone else. While helping out others so often, somehow Doug is able to remain active in the Blogosphere. Almost any post I come along, Doug has commented on. Just goes to show ya’ — hard work pays off! Might I add, none of his comments are just a line or two long — at least none that I’ve seen. The majority of his comments are lengthy, and be lengthy, I mean a good, long, paragraph. That is what I call contributing!
Now, if you still don’t believe me that Doug’s blog is one for the books, consider this — he’s currently on the second page of google for the keywords “Making Money Online”. He was on the first page for a while, but seems to keep bouncing around between the first and second page — understandable considering how competitive those keywords are. When I first saw one of Dougs posts saying that he was on the first page of google for those keywords, I thought it was a big joke (sorry Doug 
). I just thought ranking for such keywords, within such a short period of time, was next to impossible. Nonetheless, Doug proved me wrong!
So many examples come to mind when I think of why Doug is such a great blogger, and even a great guy. I may have mentioned this a while back, but if not, here it goes. Near the end of the summer, I realized my old domain (financeadvisorystop.com) SUCKED. It was too long, boring, and so on. Doug contacted me, and offered to buy me a domain. I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t think it’s everyday someone contacts you to buy you a domain, on them. So now, thanks to Doug, I have this domain name which I will be sticking with for a long time to come.

I liked Doug’s blog a lot, visit it every now and again. Doug leaves constructive comments and interacts with other commentators if need be.
You must also understand that Doug and Mark work on the site together, so spreading the word and ranking better does play a role here. His blog posts are well thought through and I know it helps many other bloggers out there.
True about Doug’s comments. His comments are always a good help. A lot of times I read an article on another blog and I may agree or disagree with authors opinion, and then I start reading comments and Doug’s comment makes me change my opinion. Seems as if he really thinks a few minutes before leaving comments, to make sure he leaves a good impression.
Doug has an excellent site and an excellent idea for ways of making money online, it’s really nice of you to write a post like this about Making Money Online.com

You really couldn’t have said that it better. The more we help eachother, the better chance we have at actually making it somewhere big with our blogs.
Doug is one my blog buddy and he has a great domain and great blog with useful content. I’ve been following his blog for months and I learned a lot of things from his blog.
Needless to say, Doug will be the next well known blogger in blogosphere!
