I sat down one day and counted all my bills that I need to payoff. From small credit card bills to student loan and I ask my self. Do I really want to be facing all of this debt for the rest of my life? Of course the answer was no. Since my girlfriend and I moved in with my dad, my mind has been focusing on paying off all our debt and saving enough money to move. This may sound easy but we all know its not.
My girlfriend and I been looking for jobs in the area for so long I got to my point were I stop looking and now focused on building a full time income directly and indirectly through blogging. While my girlfriend still looks for a job yet has not found one. (Maybe because there are none in our area) My blogging career seems to grow month after month. I know all the hard work is in the beginning of blogging. You know the first 6 months to a year. I know this is the best time to put in all the hard work.
What does blogging have to do with paying off debt? Well the money that comes from blogging of course. I know most or at lease 90% of bloggers that are trying to pay off their debt have jobs. This means any income that the blog bring in can go towards financial freedom.
No matter what you are blogging about I am sure there’s money to be made in that niche. First we all start with Google Adsense and get paid per click. Its ok money at first since your blog is new. Then as your blog grow more and get a little older. You have become a little smarter in the internet marketing business you find products related to your subject. This is perfect to make a lot more money than Google Adsense.
Let’s recap what has been done so far. You still have your job which pays the monthly bills, you started a blog about your passion, and the blog is now 6 months or older bringing in a little income.
The first thing anybody want to do is jump around from the happiness that we finally made money online. Then we want to send that whole first check out going out because we are so happy. Wrong thing to do, this is where paying off debt with your blog comes into play. Take the whole check and payoff some debt. If the check can take care of one of your overdue bills, use the whole check to pay it off. If it can’t take care of the whole bill than pay the credit card with the highest interest rate, Use the whole check to at least pay off all the interest plus a little more.
Remember, you are the only thing stopping you from paying off your debt. If you want to learn all about blogging and building a business online learn from an internet entrepreneur like me. Google adsense is OK but i think nowadays google commision rate is so low
Making money from blogging and then using that to payoff bills is a great idea. At this stage my money earned is being used to buy things for my hobby. I just started off road motor biking and the kit was a bit expensive. I use the money to buy something small every month until I have everything.
I do use some of my money and put it in a savings account for later use.
Ah, that’s why I was confused; I was looking here thinking this wasn’t Deneil’s blog. lol
Nice post, Deneil. You’re right, taking some of the money one makes off their blog, or online in general, and applying it to their debt in some fashion makes a lot of sense.
Deneil, you are everywhere… now it’s not just your site and commenting on other blogs… now you are Guest Blogging
Great post! Good-luck at paying off your bills.

At some point I will monetize my blog, just not sure when.
No problem Deneil, you deserve it. You’re a great guy — always willing to help others.
