As well all know, the economy is at its worst right now. Millions and millions of people are losing their jobs, and as a result, many are attempting to use the internet to create a sufficient income. More and more families are struggling to put food on the table, or pay their bills, thus the idea of making money online is very appealing. Some companies are starting to get rid of office jobs and hire people to work remotely from home.
Work At Home
As attractive as the idea of making money from home is, it is not as easy as it may seem. There are many factors that you will need to consider. First of all, you’re going to need a place in your house that has decent working conditions. This is hard for many because they have children whom are constantly crying, or their dogs running around barking, or their teens blasting the TV and radio. Employers do not want their customers to be aware that employees are working from home, thus it is essential to have a quiet work place. The work place must remain professional, even if it is in your own home. As long as your family is willing to help, it is possible. They must agree to not bug you during work hours, and to keep the house at a certain noise level.
Websites such as Craigslist have plenty of work at home jobs. Do a quick search of “work at home” jobs on your cities Craigslist and you will be amazed! Nonetheless, not every one of these is a legit opportunity at making money. Many of these are scams, and be sure to avoid these by all measures. Ask the poster questions about the business such as where they are located, the full name of the company. Finally, you can do a search on the BBB (Better Business Bureau) website to see if the company is legitimate.
Another method that is becoming more and more popular for those trying to make an income online is blogging. Yes, that’s right, blogging! You do not even have to spend a penny to do so. Websites such as blogger.com allow members to create free blogs in a matter of minutes. They also make it very easy for you to add Google Adsense, which is where the money comes in. For those who do not know what Google Adsense is, I will elaborate. Google Adsense is a system created by Google for webmasters. You basically place Google Ads on your website/blog. Every time a visitor clicks on an ad through your website, you make a certain amount of money (the amount you make per click depends on popularity of the keyword). Sounds very tempting to create a site and click on your own ads over and over, but I warn you, do not do it! Google has a very strict policy, and users who do so will be banned…FOREVER.
Affiliate marketing is quite a bit harder than the other methods mentioned, but once mastered provides a good income. You basically advertise the products of other people (usually companies). Every time you make a sale, you are given a percent of the products total price. By “product” it does not have to necessarily have to be an Xbox, or a TV. Affiliates often involve selling EBooks, or memberships to a certain website. Affiliate marketers usually advertise products through a personal website or blog of theirs. They look for an affiliate that offers products revolving around the topic of their personal website. For example, someone who has a weight loss blog of website will look for an affiliate that offers weight loss supplements. Many people pull in very large amounts of money from affiliate programs everyday, but it is not easy. Succeeding with affiliates takes time, but is doable!
There are many ways to make a steady income online, and these are only some of them. I don’t want to flood your brain all in one post, so I’ll leave it at that. Give one of these a shot. Pick one, and stick with it. Though there are other ways to make money online, these three are probably the most effective. Anybody can do it with dedication and some hunger to beat out their competitors!
Great methods, Blogging and content creation can pay quite a bit, believe me, some Content creators even quit there jobs, and are making more online than in the office, and working at home is certainly better, and more flexable.

Good post. You’ve mentioned all the key ways to make money online as I would have also. The only one that I think your missing is Forex (Foreign Exchange). I’ve been hearing about it more and more lately, and it seems to be a good place to invest in. It is risky, though you can reap large amounts of money.
Good point Carlos. I haven’t actually tried Forex myself, but a few friends have. Some actually lost a lot of money in it, while others won pretty big. It is risky, and basically gambling. If you have some money to invest, it is definitely not a bad investment. Who knows, maybe you’ll come out a millionaire!
Blogging surely is the most effective way of making money online. And the reason is that its easy to create a blog and anyone can make money out of it.
