$14,318.98 in a One Month..I Love Internet Marketing!

In my last post, which was..like 1 hour ago (I really need to get off the computer), I went over the reasons that I am back blogging again. I also promised to come back with another post with what I was doing for the last year or so. As I briefly mentioned, I was really concentrating on CPA as I read a number of great books, and saw the huge potential in making money online from it. I was working with CPAlead, a very popular CPA Network. Honestly, I wasn’t really making money online before this; maybe a little bit here and there, but nothing big. Oh, and I’ll talk about them as a network a bit later on in this post. So how the heck did I make $14,000 in one month? Well, let’s get to that!

Keyword Research

For anyone who is even an intermediate internet marketer, it is no secret that keyword research is what will make or break your campaign. Pick a crappy keyword, with low search volume, and you’re going to make chump change! Obviously, the more search volume a keyword has, the more competitive it will be. But hey, isn’t internet marketing all about competition?! I used Market Samurai and ran across a very lucrative keyword. It was a keyword about a movie that was going to be released soon, and was going to be a huge hit. I wasn’t able to buy the EMD (exact match domain) as it was already taken, but I was able to get something  very close. This phase took a while, as I’d wasted a lot of time and crummy keywords in the past, and I didn’t want this time to turn out like that.

Landing Page

I’m not too great with graphics and designing, but I was able to put a fairly simply landing page together, that I thought would convert well. Keep in mind, I was going to be using a content blocker, offering visitors a “sneak preview” of the movie, which I actually found on a movie fanatic forum. This part didn’t take me long at all.

SEO

THIS IS THE BIG PART. Without SEO, I wouldn’t have made a penny. 99% of my traffic was organic. Within 3 weeks, I was able to rank #2, and within 4 weeks, #1 for two medium search volume keywords. This is where the good stuff began. The money literally begin rolling in. Technically, I did get a little lucky as far as stumbling across the keyword (but some would argue that wasn’t luck), but the rest was all myself. It wasn’t hard work, but my ROI, where my only investment really was my time and $7 for a .com domain, was HUGE. Now, I know there will be some nonbelievers, so I have some pictures below.

For some one like myself, who never made more than a couple hundred dollars in a month, the feeling of making 5 figures in a month, with very little work, was amazing. I always read stories about people making huge bucks with CPA, but I always thought it was total BS! That is, until I did it myself. Ever since then, I’ve been motivated to beat my highest earning month, and it’s a great motivator.

I strongly recommend CPAlead; they have a great interface, they pay on time, they have great offers, and so much more. I can confidently say they are my favorite CPA network. Here is a link to them, and yes, it is my referral link (just letting you know in advance). Here you go: CPAlead

Let me know if you have any questions guys, about this entry in general, or CPAlead, or anything!

Way to go Ben. I had to go do some research on the company to see what CPAleads was all about and I don’t think I have a single site they’d approve of right now. That and I’d hate to risk people being upset visiting any of my blogs and having to do a survey before seeing what else I had to say. But that’s a great performance for you; I’m betting you selected something really special for your new site that worked great.

      Hi Mitch,

First of all, thanks for stopping by! I appreciate it. No worries; there is no rush; CPAead ain’t going no where! I agree that it is definitely not something you’d want to use (a content blocker) on a blog. I definitely wouldn’t use a content blocker here at iBlogPlanet; I’m with you on that.

Nonetheless, CPAlead can be a great network for any of your niche sites. For example, you could offer your readers a free eBook, but they have to complete a quick survey before they gain access to it. Most of their surveys at CPAlead are very short and simple.

Good job man. Its great to see other successful Iranians online.

Keyword research is definitely one area I need to work more often on.

Thanks Nima, appreciate it! Yeah, it took me a while to get keyword research down. Like I said, without the right tools, keyword research can be a pain (I use Market Samurai).

Have you used SEOMoz? What do you think of their tools?

    • August 28, 2011 at 2:04 pm #

I actually have not used SEOMoz, but have read a lot about their tools. They seem a bit expensive, but apparently they are well worth the money. I definitely plan to try them out in the near future, and will post a review here when I do.

I’ll be looking forward to the review. Cheers

Hey Ben! Truly impressive post man! I have yet to build a CPA site. I don’t know for some reason I don’t have a good taste in my mouth about CPA’s even though I’ve yet to try it out.

I’ve built mostly amazon, CJ, and web hosting niche sites. I would love to have a better understanding of the set up of a CPA niche site.

Let’s talk more my friend. You can skype me at joshuazamora11

Thanks Josh, I appreciate it man! I haven’t been into CPA for a while now, and am now leaning more into Niche Sites (primarily monetizing with Adsense, but am looking at other high paying networks).

We can definitely talk about things more, that sounds great. I do have Skype, but don’t use it too often; but I will add you regardless! Do you have MSN or AIM by any chance?

    Hey, Ben:

I take it from your blog post, it was some sort of movie site? Regardless very impressive results and will be taking a look at the (CPALeads) network you mention – although when I go to their site, not much info on it.

Would love to hear more on this niche site and your efforts. Thanks for sharing!

    Cheers,
    Missy
