I’m proud to say that the first iBlogPlanet Comment Marathon was a huge success. Not only did it attract a number of new readers, it has started what I feel is a transition from simply a “blog” to a community. Although my blog is surely not as much as a community as some of the other blogs out there, I will work hard at it until it is. I have to thank my fellow readers and commentators, becuase you have all been key in getting me where I am now, and will be key in the future as well!
Alright, so the contest! I saw a huge spike in comments during August — I wonder why? Obviously because of the contest! I have no problem with making contests like this to give people an incentive to comment here on iBlogPlanet. I am also glad to say that I did not receive any of those comments which completely irritate me. I mean the ones that only say “Nice, like it” or “This is sweet!”. Hate those!

As for finding the other commentors… you can probably go in and edit the plugin to show who commented most all time, as you just added the plugin last month… correct? Then after you make a list you can put it back to month to month. I think that should work.
Haha, congratulations Doug! I’ve put the banner up — it looks great. As for the post, of course I’m okay with writing it. The whole point of the contest is for me to reward you guys. It would be a bit unfair if I only put the option of you writing it. Not point in a contest then, right?
