I’m going to be heading into LA in a couple of hours, so I thought I’d start a contest to run for the next while. I will still be updating my blog while away — no worries. The contest here at iBlogPlanet.com is very similar to the contest over at Doug Dillard and Mark Smith’s Blog. Having recently changed domains from financeadvisorystop.com to iblogplanet.com, I seem to have lost quite a few readers. Hopefully this contest will be an incentive for them to come back to my blog.
The 3 top commentators for the month will be the winners. Prizes explained below.

What counts as a comment?
“Nice post!” does not count as a comment — sorry. A comment has to be more than that. It has to show me that you actually took the time to read the post. As long as your comment is on topic, and useful to myself and other readers, it’s a comment.
How many comments can I make per day?
I’m going to set the bar a bit higher than I’ve seen other bloggers do so for similar contests. You can make 7 comments a day. If you are really into a post, and are discussing it with another commentator, you will reach 7 comments in no time.
Rules
As the blog owner, I will be the one who finally decides whether your ad is appropriate or not. All of my readers are good people, and I am sure I won’t have a problem with this. I am just mentioning it for legality purposes.

Between, I’ve read Doug’s post that you’ve mentioned above, I’ve also participated the commenting contest in his blog. This is an interesting contest that I’ve ever taken part before. No worry Gooroo, traffic can be built again, no matter what domain name you change to, your readers still can find you, they can recognize you, but you need to let them know about your new domain too.

Just kidding, lol. That was a good way to make some people mad, wasn’t it? I think this is a good idea. You are getting somewhere with this. Sorry to hear that you’ve lost some visitors since changing the domain. I don’t know if people will be able to make 10 comments a day if you are only updating once a day, as in one article per day. You may have to post a few articles per day so we can give our opinions on all of them. Then again that is just my opinion.

Yeah, I think you’re right — maybe 10 was too many. I wrote this post at 6AM, and wasn’t thinking straight. I’ve changed it to 7 comments a day, and will be increasing my post count to 2 posts a day, if not more. Thank you for pointing that out Jason.
Btw, Jason — I was going to make the post about your site within the next few days (as a thank you for the theme). Any particular direction you’d like me to go in with it?

I just visited your site after you left a comment on my site and there are blue blocks with numbers on in your sidebar. I tried them and it took me to this post, is that right? What is your purpose of that? I would like to know, I’m curious now.

Glad you like the idea. I made it so the comments begin today. I had a little trouble restarting the Top Commentators Widget for this contest. It should be there now.
The blue blocks are the ad prizes. Sorry, I wasn’t too clear about that in the post.
